I've learnt that photography is an art and it's all about you. You don't need to have a big camera, you don't even have to buy a camera (you can just build one). There is not something right or wrong in photo, it all depends to you. There is more then one way to look at a picture, you can just look at the image or try to understand what the photographer did to take the picture or why he took it. I learnt that the pictures are not just an image, they are talking to us and we have to listen to what they're telling us and at what the photographer wants to tell us. Photography is like beauty, I may like something that someone else doesn't like, but that doesn't change what I think, beauty in photo is subjective.
WHAT DID YOU LEARN ABOUT YOURSELF THIS SEMESTER?
I learnt that in photography there is more then just pressing a button, that we can express ourselves with a picture. I learnt that I can be a photographer, it's not difficult, everyone can be a photographer. you just need to have passion for what you are doing.
WHAT DID YOU WISH WE HAD DONE THAT WE DIDN'T?
I wish we had studied more technical things about cameras and how to set them in manual mode. i Wish we talked more about ISO, lens, shutter, exposure... That would have helpt to understand cameras better
WHAT WAS YOUR STRUGGLE?
It was difficult for me to take always 36 pictures for each project because it was difficult to have all that imagination to find 36 different things and to take all the pictures.
WHAT DID YOU CONQUER?
I realized that i can be a photographer and that it is not as difficult as I thought before being in this class.
